Meet the Groomers of The Sudsy Puppy

Michelle – Owner

Michelle has had a love of dogs her whole life. In 2009, she started a mid-day dog walking and pet sitting business that serves all of Anne Arundel County. Since opening Tails on Trails, LLC, she has grown the business to over 600 active clients with over 25 employees. Her walkers can be seen, in their pink shirts, walking dogs in Annapolis, Crofton, Odenton, Hanover, and many other dog-friendly areas in the county. Her focus has always been providing excellent care and building relationships with her clients, staff, and the wonderful pets they care for on a daily basis.

Her desire to provide quality dog grooming and bathing care, led her to purchase the Pet Waggin’. The Pet Waggin’ has been a community fixture for nearly 30 years. The salon has a rich history of strong client relationships in Cape St. Claire, Arnold, Severna Park, and Millersville. Recently, the Pet Waggin’ was acquired and is transitioning to the new name, The Sudsy Puppy.

The Sudsy Puppy is excited to offer improved services with updated equipment and new groomers that upgrade your pet’s experience with the latest techniques. Whether you desire your pet to have a traditional and breed-specific cut or a cute style to match your mixed breed’s personality, The Sudsy Puppy can deliver! We offer dog and cat full-service grooming, bathing, and nail care for small to extra-large dogs. We have added upgraded services that include spa treatments, de-shedding remedies, and refresh services. We look forward to seeing The Sudsy Puppy continue its reputation for quality grooming at affordable prices.

Michelle’s furry family includes four dogs and any others that need a temporary place to stay! As of today, her home includes a White Shepherd/Lab mix, Vizsla mix, Husky/Shepherd mix, and a Silver Lab. The house is busy!

Katrina comes to The Sudsy Puppy with extensive dog and cat grooming experience, as well as experience as a veterinary technician. She has over 14 years’ pet care experience. She has been formally trained in standardized grooming techniques and sanitary principles. Additionally, her training extends to Pet CPR, nutrition, and obedience methods.

Her volunteer experience includes working with local zoos, the humane society, and other rescue groups. During her time with rescue, she was able to rehab numerous dogs that would otherwise not have been able to be adopted.

At home, Katrina furry family includes her dog, Dingo, a Basenji/Pit mix, her cat, Rascal, a domestic short hair, and her white Bunny, affectionately named Ms. Bunny.

In her free time, she and her boyfriend enjoy kayaking, hiking, craft shows, festivals. She is pursuing continuing education in Environmental Science.

Sierra’s background has been devoted to pet care. Early in her career, she worked as a pet bather, where she learned that working directly with pets was her future. She worked a few more years as a veterinary technician before pursuing grooming. She has been steadily perfecting her skills with grooming and bathing techniques since joining The Sudsy Puppy.

In her free time, she and her boyfriend enjoy local festivals, hiking, and camping. She hopes to own her own grooming salon one day.
